Delhi / Rajasthan:

Experience one of the most colourful states of India – Rajasthan! This very exciting state offers an incredible collage of India.  The land is dotted with fortresses, bearing testimony to its warrior tradition.  Rajasthan offers an incredible variety of rich and ancient history, colourful culture, wildlife (It is home to one of the last remaining stands of the dwindling and almost extinct Indian tiger) and breathtaking scenery. An inspirational start at the Taj Mahal in Agra leads you to the fascinating colourful cities of Rajasthan famed for their beautiful forts and palaces, the long range of Aravali Mountains which starts all the way from New Delhi right across the Rajasthan are full of ancient temples and intriguing ancient ruins of architectural wonders.

Most of our trips are a combination of culture and adventure.  We trek through fertile valleys reaching small isolated villages and little hamlets.  We stay at charming heritage hotels and at remote hill resorts. The real adventure is a tame modern day  “Lawrence of Arabia” – a camel safari! We ride through the Great Indian Thar Desert, a region with a compelling history, of battles and treachery, of victories and defeats, of blood spilt on the desert’s sands in tribal feuds, of pride and honour trade and commerce all along the same routes as those taken by wealthy trade caravans for centuries. Vibrantly alive and remarkably hospitable, there is ample opportunity to interact with the local villagers and experience their culture firsthand.  The Tiger country of Ranthambore spreads over an area of 392 sq.km of tropical forest. This National park is considered to be one of the best sites of observing and photographing the majestic tiger besides so many other interesting species of animals and birds found in this National park.

With a history of over five thousand years and origins shrouded in mythological legends, the state is literally a  house of history and archaeology. Every town of the state is studded with formidable forts and magnificient palaces which have been silent sentinels to the turbulent past of the region. The numerous ancient shrines and cenotaphs seen all over the state confirms to the deep rooted  religious faiths of the people of Rajasthan and their respect  for the departing souls. Our escorts on the various trips are well versed with the tales of valour and sacrifices of rajasthani people and will talk to you all about these things while on the tour. Rajasthan is a land of paradoxes and has an unusual diversity in all its forms  - people, customs, culture, costumes, music, manners, dialects, cuisine and physiography. The beautiful landscape varies from golden sand dunes to lush forests and lofty peaks to fertile plains and is littered with formidable forts , magnificient palaces, sprawling "havelies", sacred shrines, graceful gardens, lovely lakes and exotic wildlife.

Rajasthani handicrafts are matchless in concept, colours and craftmanship. Be it Jewellery, paintings, leathergoods, textiles, carpets, pottery stone carving or wood carving , each object has a subtle and over powering appeal.

We have every kind of trip in Rajasthan to offer you - something for everyone. Be it a culture , nature, food, or simply crossing the great Thar desert on foot as well as on Camels sleeping under the stars and enjoying the nature!! It is impossible to return without being effected by the magical charm of this majestic land.

Rajasthan is very well connected by road , rail and air. There is also an International airport at Jaipur. We can provide Good hotels right from budget class to star category all over the state. However, we feel that if anyone has to feel the country it is always better to stay in the moderate class of hotels (Definately not  Five Star Hotels) where one can meet and feel the people from all walks of life rather than staying in the  Five Star category hotels which are restricted for the common local public and the traveller do not really see and feel the local life!!

Rajasthan love for colour and being happy is evident from its numerous fairs and festivals which provides an insight into the rich culture and traditions. For your ready reference we are mentioning the  various fairs and festivals you may like to incorporate while planning a trip in Rajasthan.

Best Season:

The perfect time to visit this colourful state of Rajasthan is from mid-October through the end of March. During these six months the temperature is pleasant and just right.  In summer the deserts of Rajasthan are not recommended as the hot Indian summer sun raises day time temperatures to an unbearably high upper limit of 50 degrees Celsius!!
